Lehman Franklin opened the law firm in the Bank of Statesboro Building, East Main Street, Statesboro, Georgia, in November, 1968. In 1973, the firm moved to its present location at 127 North Main Street. Over the years, the firm has served the citizens of the Statesboro, Bulloch County, other areas of the State, and throughout the Southeast with concentrations in personal injury, civil litigation, bankruptcy, and DUI defense.
Kimberly Ward joined the firm in 2003 and has been a dedicated and effective participant in all areas of the firm’s practice. During recent years, the firm has reorganized and/or eliminated millions in consumer debt providing relief and a new start for overly-indebted and stressed-out consumers. In addition, the firm has reorganized and/or eliminated millions in debt for business debtors and farming operations, enabling these businesses to continue to operate and restructure their debt orderly, thus allowing them to continue as viable economic enterprises in their communities.
The firm takes a great deal of pride in its representation of individuals who have been injured through no fault of their own, settling the majority of its cases to the satisfaction of its clients, while taking the remainder of them through litigation to final verdicts. Many of the firm’s new cases are “repeat” clients or referrals from other satisfied clients. Defendants in these cases have included trucking companies, hospitals, nursing homes, as well as ordinary, though negligent, drivers of all ages and walks of life. The firm’s attorneys are experienced in other areas of civil litigation as well, such as contract disputes and litigation with credit card companies.
